Haute-Ajoie is a municipality in the Porrentruy district in the canton of Jura in Switzerland .

Haute-Ajoie is located southwest of Porrentruy , the capital of the Ajoie , on the border with France. Neighboring municipalities are Grandfontaine , Fahy , Bure , Courtedoux and Bressaucourt in the canton of Jura and Montancy , Glère , Vaufrey , Montjoie-le-Château , Villars-lès-Blamont and Dannemarie in neighboring France. Since the merger, it has been the second largest municipality in the Porrentruy district .

history

The municipality was formed with effect from January 1, 2009 from the merger of the previous municipalities of Chevenez , Damvant , Réclère and Roche-d'Or . On January 1, 2018, the previously independent municipality of Rocourt JU Haute-Ajoie also joined. The community does not yet have a common coat of arms. Each district continues to use its previous symbol.
