Pappenheim ruling court

The Pappenheim rulership court was a rulership court of the Counts of Pappenheim zu Pappenheim . It existed from 1818 to 1848 and was part of the Rezatkreis . In 1848 it was converted into a court and police authority, and finally in 1852 into the Pappenheim Regional Court .

The rulership court bordered the district court of Heidenheim , the rulership court of Ellingen and the Oberdonaukreis (from 1838 Schwaben and Neuburg).

There were 8 tax districts within the ruling court , which were formed in 1808 and initially administered by the Raitenbuch Rent Office, then the Weißenburg Rent Office (1815-1827), the Heidenheim Rent Office (1827-1834) and finally the Weißenburg Rent Office again (from 1834):

Graben was handed over to the Ellingen court.

With the second community edict (1818), 16 rural communities were formed:

  • Bieswang with Mittelmarterhof
  • Büttelbronn with toll house
  • Dettenheim with Grönhart, Hagenau, Markhof, Naßwiesen, Neuheim and Stadelhof

In 1827 two communities were formed from the rural community of Neudorf (Neudorf; Rothenstein), and in 1835 the rural community of Dettenheim was formed into two communities (Dettenheim with Markhof, and Stadelhof; Grönhart with Hagenau, Naßwiesen, Neuheim). The Flemmühle was umgemeindet from Schambach to Geislohe.

In 1840 the Pappenheim rulership was 3 12 square miles in size. There were 7052 inhabitants, of whom 74 were Catholics, 6733 Protestants and 245 Jews. There were 48 localities: 1 city, 7 parish villages , 3 parish villages , 4 villages , 10 hamlets and 22 desert areas . There were a total of 18 parishes: 1 magistrate, 3rd class, and 17 rural parishes.
