Hochdorf is a district of the city of Blankenhain in the Weimarer Land district , Thuringia .

geography

The place is about 4 km southwest of Blankenhain and west not far from Lengefeld . The federal road 85 can be reached after about 600 m via a local connecting road . The place is also on the same plateau as Neckeroda and Lengefeld. The soils are on weathered shell limestone that is remote from the groundwater .

history

On March 20, 1143, the place was first mentioned in a document. This village has also developed from a Slavic settlement. It has always been an agricultural community that farms 821 hectares. The place once belonged to the ecclesiastical properties of the city of Erfurt . This was followed by the Counts of Orlamünde and other owners. Middle peasants were resident in the village. In the time of the GDR's agricultural policy , a sow and a dairy cattle facility were built in the 1960s. After the fall of the Wall , new forms of cooperation were quickly found.

The Evangelical Church of St. Udalricus has an organ made by the organ builder Schulze from Milbitz .
