IC 1010 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 343 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 195,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 1011 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 8, 1893 .
