Ituzaingó is a district ( barrio ) of the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .

It is surrounded by the districts of Las Acacias (northwest), Jardines del Hipódromo (northeast), Flor de Maroñas (southeast), Villa Española (south) and Pérez Castellanos / Castro Castellanos (west).

The boundaries of the district form the district, starting from the north in a clockwise direction, the streets Jose Maria Guerra , Jose Shaw , Sainz Rosas , Avenida J Belloni , Osvaldo Cruz , Carreras Nacionales , Julia Arevalo , Smidel , Pavon , JJ de Soiza Reilly , Dr M Aguirre , Camino Corrales and Iguazu . history

The Barrio Ituzaíngo was founded in 1893 by Francisco Piria . The approximately four hectare area was delimited and parceled out by surveyor Federico Delgado.
