Brazo Oriental is a district ( barrio ) of the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .

The neighboring districts are Atahualpa (west), La Figurita (south), Jacinto Vera (south), Mercado Modelo y Bolívar (in the south-east), Cerrito de la Victoria (in the north-east) and Aires Puros (in the north-west). The Brazo Oriental , which serves as a residential area, is bordered by Bulevar Artigas in the south and Avenida General Flores in the east. The district is bounded by the Bulevar José Batlle y Ordóñez to the north and the Camino Burgues to the west . The area Brazo Orientals is the municipality C assigned.

Infrastructure

The Museo de la Casa de Luis Alberto de Herrera and the Escuela Superior de Comercio Brazo Oriental of the Universidad del Trabajo del Uruguay (UTU) are located in the district, which is about 12 minutes from the city center . The Colón Fútbol Club is also based here.
