La Comercial
La Comercial , also Barrio de la Comercial , is a district ( barrio ) of the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .
location
It is located north of the city center in the central south of the Montevideo department . La Comercial borders the Cordón and Tres Cruces districts in the south and south-east . To the west is the Villa Muñoz - Retiro district . In the north and northeast respectively, Figurita and Jacinto Vera connect , while Larrañaga continues the urban area in the east . The area of La Comercial is the Municipalities B and C allocated.
history
The barrio was founded by Florencio Escardó on the lands of Felipe H. Lacueva and inaugurated on March 19, 1871.
Attractions
In the quarter is also called Iglesia de San Pancracio known church Iglesia del Corazón inmaculado .
