Janina-Anna Katharina Stopper (born May 25, 1989 in Munich ) is a German-Austrian actress .

Career

Stopper began her career as a child actress in the 1990s . After appearing in Yasemin Şamdereli's university short film Lieber Gott , she was given a smaller role in Rainer Kaufmann's successful film Die Apothekerin in 1996 . As a teenager she played in TV series such as Siska and SOKO 5113 in 2004 alongside Senta Berger and Peter Sattmann in the ARD two-part Emilia . This was followed by demanding leading roles in television productions such as Bloch and Tatort . In 2007, Stopper appeared in front of the camera for several episodes of the television series In allerfreund. In 2009 she starred alongside Monica Bleibtreu and Julia Jentsch in the movie Tannöd . From 2010 to 2014 she studied acting at the University of Film and Television Potsdam .

Awards

In April 2007 Janina Stopper received the Günter Strack TV Prize for her leading role in the ARD television film Bloch: Die Wut . For her role as the underage and overwhelmed mother in the Tatort episode Little Hearts , she was awarded the Bavarian TV Prize for Young Talent and the New Faces Award in 2008 .
