Jennifer Fox

Jennifer Fox (* 20th century ) is an American film producer . Fox was President of Section Eight from 2001 to 2007, and prior to that, she was Vice President of Production at Universal Pictures . Fox was nominated for an Oscar in 2008.

Life

While attending the University of New York City , Jennifer Fox worked at the same time reading material for several New York-based production companies, including American Playhouse. In 1997 she was appointed head of Universal's development department, and two years later she was promoted to vice-president of the company, where she was responsible for film production. One of the first films made under her leadership was the environmental drama Erin Brockovich, filmed by Steven Soderbergh in 1999, with Julia Roberts in the title role, which won an Oscar for its performance.

In 2004 Fox first appeared as executive producer with the crime film Gauner unter sich ( Criminal ), in which John C. Reilly , Diego Luna and Maggie Gyllenhaal played the leading roles. This was followed in 2005 by the mystery drama The Jacket with Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley . In 2012 she worked again with Tony Gilroy (as in Michael Clayton and Duplicity ), this time on the fourth part of the Bourne film series The Bourne Legacy . In the 2014 thriller Nightcrawler , Fox worked with Dan Gilroy, who made his directorial debut with the film starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo .
