John Michael Plumb (born March 28, 1940 in Islip , New York ) is an American eventing rider .
He took part in seven Olympic Games and is therefore one of the athletes with the most participations . Two further participations were prevented by the US Olympic boycott in 1980 and an injury in 1988. Plumb won six Olympic medals, including two gold medals in the team competition.
