Canton of Kaysersberg
The canton Kaysersberg was part of the arrondissement Ribeauvillé in the department of Haut-Rhin in the region Alsace in France .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Colmar".
With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Colmar .
From 1871 to 1919 there was no further subdivision of the then Rappoltsweiler district .
On June 28, 1919, the canton became part of the newly founded Arrondissement Ribeauvillé.
On March 22, 2015, the canton was dissolved.

The canton bordered the canton Ribeauvillé to the north and west , the canton Colmar-Nord in the arrondissement Colmar to the south-east, the canton Wintzenheim to the south , also in the arrondissement Colmar and the canton Lapoutroie to the west .
