Canton of Rouffach
The Canton Rouffach was 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Guebwiller , in Haut-Rhin and the region Alsace .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District of Colmar". With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Colmar. From 1871 to 1919 the area was part of what was then the Gebweiler district , to which there was no further subdivision. On June 28, 1919, the canton became part of the Arrondissement of Guebwiller.
On March 22, 2015, the canton was dissolved.

The canton bordered in the north with the canton Wintzenheim in the arrondissement of Colmar , in the east with the canton Ensisheim , in the south with the canton Soultz-Haut-Rhin , in the south-west with the canton Guebwiller and in the north-west with the canton Munster in the arrondissement Colmar .
