The Canton Kingersheim is a canton in the Arrondissement Mulhouse in the Haut-Rhin department in the region of Grand Est in France .
history
The canton was newly formed on the occasion of the cantonal territorial reform that came into force on March 22, 2015.
geography
The canton of Kingersheim borders in the north on the canton Wittenheim , in the east on the cantons Mulhouse-1 , Mulhouse-2 and Mulhouse-3 , in the south-east on the canton Brunstatt , in the south on the canton Altkirch , in the south-west on the canton Masevaux and in Northwest to the canton of Cernay .

politics
In the first ballot on March 22, 2015, none of the five voting pairs achieved an absolute majority. In the runoff election on March 29, 2015, Vincent Hagenbach / Josiane Mehlen-Vetter (both UD) won against Violanda Hencky / Christopher Pornain (both FN ) with 63.26% of the votes (turnout: 46.70%).
