Karl Theodor Jobst Wilhelm Boecking , von Boecking since 1864 (born April 30, 1817 in Braunschweig , † July 1, 1894 in Kassel ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

He was the son of the Prussian major Mathias Leopold Julius Boecking and his wife Henriette Ottina, née Eskuch.

Military career

Boecking attended school in Wolfenbüttel and joined the 26th Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army in Magdeburg as a musketeer on June 21, 1833 . There he was appointed Portepeefähnrich on April 13, 1835 and promoted to Second Lieutenant on September 24, 1835 . Boecking served briefly as a battalion adjutant and worked from April 1, 1845 to May 31, 1849 as an adjutant of the 2nd Battalion in the 26th Landwehr Regiment in Burg . As a company commander in this battalion , Boecking then took part in the suppression of the revolution in Baden .

From February 14 to July 18, 1850, Boecking acted as a major in Constance and was then a company commander in the replacement battalion of the 13th Infantry Brigade . Boecking returned to his regular regiment on December 1, 1850, was assigned to the Sömmerda rifle factory for three months and was promoted to Prime Lieutenant on May 10, 1851 .
