Kattwinkel (Osterburg)

Kattwinkel is a residential area in the Meseberg district of the Hanseatic city of Osterburg (Altmark) in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The small settlement Kattwinkel is located 1½ kilometers northwest of the village of Meseberg and 3½ kilometers northeast of Osterburg (Altmark) on the Kattwinkler Graben. North of the settlement is a corridor called Kattwinkel.

Neighboring towns are Tornowshof in the north, Lindenhof in the east and Otto's Hof 1 in the south.

history

The field name Kattwinkel is already recorded on the Urmes table sheet No. 1613 Seehausen from 1843 .

A Kattwinkel residential area was mentioned in the parish dictionary in 1885. The place is older and was already listed on the table sheet in 1873, but without its own name.

In the 1930s, a Bronze Age hoard find was reported at Kattwinkel.

During the land reform in 1945, the Kattwinkel farm was expropriated.
