Cellars (colloquially Keslhof or Keslmil ) is a part of the market Flachslanden in Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The hamlet is located on the Borsbach, which flows as a left tributary into the Franconian Rezat , which flows west of the village. Approx. 1.25 km southeast in the Birkenfels forest is the Heßberg ( 489 m above sea level ), about 0.75 km northeast is the Kellerholz , about 0.5 km northwest is the Hochholz .
A community road leads past the Rangenmühle to Borsbach to the district road AN 21 (1.4 km east) or to Rosenbach (0.7 km north-west). State road 2253 can be reached there via a feeder road , which leads past the site immediately to the west.
history
The place was first mentioned by name in 1402 as "Keler". The place name means settlement near the cellar . Since 1498 the form "Kesselmüllner" is attested, which is the common name in the colloquial language. It is explained by the location in a basin between the Heßberg, Hirschberg, Hochholz and Rosenbacher Höhe. The plural form "cellars" has been attested since 1809, consisting of the deserted Kesselmühle, Kesselhof, Hummelhof and Rohrmühle . As a rule, however, Hummelhof and Rohrmühle were considered separate districts.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were four properties in basements and a community shepherd's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . All properties had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Birkenfels as landlord . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .
As part of the municipal edict, cellars were assigned to the Flachslanden tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Flachslanden, founded in 1811 .
