The provincial government Kery III under governor Theodor Kery (SPÖ) forms the Burgenland provincial government from the election by the Burgenland Landtag in the XII. Legislative period on November 3, 1972 until the inauguration of the state government Kery IV on October 27, 1977.
After the state elections in 1972 had hardly resulted in postponements, the previous state government went into the next term of office without personnel changes and remained unchanged in terms of personnel until the new government was elected in 1977.
