This list of the members of the Burgenland Landtag lists all members of the Burgenland Landtag in the XII. Legislative period. The legislative period began on November 3, 1972 with the inauguration of the deputies and the election of the Presidium and ended after 49 sessions on October 27, 1977 with the inauguration of the XIII. Legislative period . After the state elections on October 8, 1972 , 16 of 32 mandates were held by the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), 15 by the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and 1 by the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ).
The presidium was chaired by the SPÖ member Karl Krikler as the first president of the state parliament . Johann Erhardt (ÖVP) held the position of 2nd President of the Landtag, and Emmerich Koller (SPÖ), who was replaced by Hans Krutzler (SPÖ) on November 6, 1975 , was the 3rd President of the Landtag . The function of the secretary exercised Matthias Pinter (to 5 November 1975), Josef Posch (from November 6, 1975) and Franz Sauerzopf from folders were Josef Peck and John Black .
In the first session of the state parliament, six members resigned and moved to the state government or the Federal Council. They were filled on the same day. Furthermore, there were six further changes among the state parliament members during the legislative period.
