The provincial government Doskozil I formed the Burgenland provincial government in the XXI. Legislative period from February 28, 2019 and followed the state government Niessl IV . On February 17, 2020 the state government Doskozil II was elected and sworn in.
history
At the state party conference of the SPÖ Burgenland on September 8, 2018 in Oberwart , the previous Governor Hans Niessl handed over his office as Burgenland State Party Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) to Hans Peter Doskozil and announced that he would also be the Burgenland Governor on February 28, 2019 should follow.
On January 14, 2019, Daniela Winkler was presented as the future state councilor of the Doskozil state government for the areas of education, youth and family. Astrid Eisenkopf was previously responsible for the youth department and the Verena Dunst family department . On February 4, 2019, Heinrich Dorner was introduced as the successor to Norbert Darabos as the future state councilor. Dorner is responsible for the areas of construction, spatial planning, transport and housing subsidies. On February 20, 2019, the previous President of the State Parliament, Christian Illedits, was presented as a further member of the State Council, he swapped places with the previous State Councilor Verena Dunst and, among other things, took on the agendas of municipalities and social affairs. Astrid Eisenkopf handed over responsibility for the municipalities and took over the agendas for agriculture, and Verena Dunst also took over consumer protection and debt advice.
After the Ibiza affair became known in May 2019, Governor Hans Peter Doskozil announced an early election on January 16, 2020 . Originally the election should have taken place in May 2020
