District District Grünberg
The district of Grünberg was a district in the Grand Duchy of Hesse , in the province of Upper Hesse , with its seat in Grünberg . Founded in 1821, it was incorporated into the Grünberg district in 1832 .
history
Emergence
In the course of the administrative reform of 1821 in the Grand Duchy, jurisdiction and administration were also separated at the lower level , and the tasks of the traditional offices were reorganized in district districts - responsible for administration - and district court districts - responsible for jurisdiction. The district of Grünberg arose from:
- the former office of Grünberg ,
- the office of Ober-Ohmen der Herrschaft Riedesel , which was now administered by the state on behalf of and on behalf of the rulership ,
- the patrimonial court Londorf of the barons of Nordeck zur Rabenau and
- the patrimonial court Winnerod of the barons von Schenck zu Schweinsberg .
The tasks of the court of first instance in this area were assigned to the newly established Landgericht Grünberg , but initially without the patrimonial courts.
Further development
However, the state managed to collect the sovereign rights in the area of administration from the remaining, initially still independently acting patrimonial court lords after a short time by concluding corresponding contracts with them:
- 1822 with the barons of Nordeck zur Rabenau over the patrimonial court Londorf and
- 1823 with the barons von Schenck zu Schweinsberg over the patrimonial court Winnerod.
The End
In the regional reform of 1832, the district councils were dissolved and merged into larger districts . Shortly afterwards, their layout was defined in a further regulation . The district of Grünberg was merged with part of the communities of the former district of Gießen to form the district of Grünberg .
