The decathlon men at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics was on 6 and 7 August 2001 Commonwealth Stadium the Canadian city of Edmonton held.
The Czech Olympic third party from 1996 Tomáš Dvořák became world champion for the third time in a row. Silver went to the current Olympic and reigning European champion Erki Nool from Estonia . Third place went to the British vice world champion from 1999 Dean Macey .
