The 4-by-400-meter relay for women at the 2001 World Athletics Championships was held on August 6 and 7, 2001 in the Commonwealth Stadium in the Canadian city ​​of Edmonton .

World champion was Jamaica with the cast Sandie Richards , Catherine Scott . Debbie-Ann Parris (final) and Lorraine Fenton (final) as well as Deon Hemmings and Michelle Burgher, who were also used in the preliminary run .
