Lena Meißner (* 1998 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German triathlete . She is German champion over the triathlon sprint distance (2016).

Career

In June 2014 she was the European Junior Champion in a team sprint with the German team (with Lasse Lührs , Valentin Wernz and Laura Lindemann ) at the European Triathlon Championships in Kitzbühel, Austria .

In July 2015 Lena Meißner was third at the European Triathlon Championship for women and sixth at the Junior World Championship in September.

German champion triathlon sprint distance 2016

In June 2016, the only 17-year-old became German triathlon champion on the sprint distance at the T3 Triathlon in Düsseldorf. She won in the U23 class and was also able to win the elite class.
In July she was also the German Vice-Champion Triathlon among the juniors in Nuremberg.

Since 2016 she has been part of the C-team of the German Triathlon Union (DTU). and in 2018 she was accepted as one of eight athletes in the perspective squad (PK). At the Junior World Championships in Rotterdam in September 2017, she finished seventh.

In 2019 she was third in the German championship on the triathlon sprint distance. Lena Meißner lives in Saarbrücken .
