Lena Berlinger (born February 8, 1988 in Weingarten ) is a German triathlete and German champion in the triathlon middle distance (2017).

Career

Lena Berlinger started her first triathlon when she was 14.

At the age of 22, she finished her first long-distance triathlon at the Ironman Austria (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) in Klagenfurt and thus qualified for a starting place at the Ironman World Championships (Ironman Hawaii ).

Vice-Champion Winter Triathlon 2012

In February 2012 she became German runner-up in the winter triathlon (5 km running, 12 km mountain bike and 8 km cross-country skiing). She has been a professional athlete since 2017.

In July 2017 she came second in the HeidelbergMan Olympic distance (1.7 km swimming, 36 km cycling and 10 km running) after winning the 2015 and 2016 races.

German champion triathlon middle distance 2017

At the Allgäu Triathlon , the 29-year-old became German champion in the triathlon middle distance (1.9 km swimming, 80 km cycling and 21.5 km running) in August 2017.
