The garden, which is equipped with a rich tree population, green areas, watercourses and rocky areas of a former quarry, still shows almost all of the park and menagerie buildings built under the direction of Thouret (1797–1805): On a rock massif and as an eye-catcher, the Emichsburg , south of it the guard house. In the upper garden around the lake are the park and play buildings, the carousel, the ruins of an aqueduct, the so-called vineyard house and the former so-called kangaroo house. The Monopteros for David Friedrich Strauss (1910 by Paul Bonatz) is more recent. There is now a free-flight aviary south of Dammallee. Protected according to § 2 DSchG
