1912–1913 (tenement house) Plastered facade, stencil painting in the entrance area, building historical value as evidence of the phase of urban development, monument text Seinerzeit Klüxstraße 14, the building application for a residential building was issued in the summer of 1912 after the officially required courtyard community had been established in 1909. Architect Paul Friedrich, certified master builder and owner of a Gohlis-based office for architecture and construction management, took on the planning services for financier Richard Paul Zimmermann and master bricklayer Richard Hermann Zimmermann. Richard Paul took over the construction management, the construction business of Messrs. Paul Zimmermann and the master mason Reinhold Zimmermann the execution. Construction was completed in February 1913. The renovation and loft extensions were carried out between 1997 and 1998 based on designs by civil engineer Hühn from Marburg. The house was built on a solid clay soil in brick construction with complete facade plastering. Grooving, cornices, a broad central projectile taking up the house entrance and decorative panels in the reform style structure the building, as does the more elaborate front door portal and two cornices. The small-scale grooved windows made a significant contribution to the appearance, the dignified furnishings have largely been preserved, including the lead-glazed skylight above the front door. Of interest is the old iron bracket for a gas lantern to the right of the entrance. At the time of construction, two apartments of different sizes were set up on each floor, with an internal bathroom / toilet and exit on the courtyard side, and the mandatory laundry room built into the basement. The stately reform style building has an architectural historical value. LfD / 2018, 2019 09292961

1910–1911 (tenement house) with gate passage, plastered facade, historically and historically important reform style building in the closed street monument text building contractor Richard Winkler is the financier, initiator and executor for the residential building built between 1910 and 1911 and Otto Jänichen as the building manager. In each of the two apartments on each floor there were two rooms, a chamber and a kitchen with an exit. Toilets were in the stairwell and the laundry room was built on the courtyard side. Almost at the same time a depot building with a carpentry workshop was built in the courtyard. A new facade for the front building was submitted almost two weeks after the final inspection. At the end of September 1912, master carpenter Hermann Bruno Börner took over the property and had the rear building extended in 1913/1914 for use as a furniture store floor. Architect and master builder F. Alfred Ehlers was in charge of this. From October 1, 1916, the Pianofabrik Peters & Co GmbH Leipzig rented a building in the rear and the same applied for an office building in 1919, as their previous office in Grimmaische Strasse in Leipzig had been terminated. In 1921 Arno Knörnschild took over the site for Akalin Chemische Fabrik Akal and rented it out to the company of the toothbrush manufacturer Erhard Hupfer, who intended to set up a tobacco preparation and dyeing shop the following year. Further changes of ownership followed and in 1932 the enlargement (or new construction?) Of a balcony on the first floor based on a drawing by architect Eugen Göhler. The four-storey house is structured by a grooved ground floor, plaster pilasters on the upper floors and a sandstone plinth, which is rare in Leipzig rental apartments of the time, and extends to the window sills of the ground floor. The current appearance, with the embarrassing plastic windows, indicates an overall listless renovation (around the year 2000). The courtyard building is not a monument. As a testimony to the development of the place of architectural value. LfD / 2014, 2015 09297527

Group of tenement houses in open development with front garden Blücherstrasse 38; 40; 42; 44
(map)
1935–1937 (apartment building), 1937 (front garden) Plastered facade, historically significant Monument text master builder and architect, Paul Busse submitted plans for a group of tenement houses to be erected using the open construction method at the end of January 1936, the completion of which was announced a good fifteen months later. Busse was also (co) owner of the construction company for housing and settlement buildings mbH, in whose hands the financing of the project, which is recognized as a tax-exempt small apartment building, lay. The executing company was the construction business Hermann Zeidler. A three-storey residential building with a basement and a garage built into house number 38 was built on grown clay as a building site. The cul-de-sac at corner house number 38 was later discontinued. Three far protruding stand bay windows at the front to Blücherstraße and spacious front garden areas characterize it. Patent honeycomb bricks from the Reuden brickworks were used, double-shell apartment partition walls made of perforated bricks standing on edge, as plinth cladding and front door framing, dark red facing brick panels. This corresponds to a cement mortar scratch plaster on the facades and dark red interlocking tiles on the roof surfaces. Medallions on the porches show motifs from the building trade. Of interest are the statements obtained from the adviser to the air defense construction advisory body of the Reich Air Protection Association, and the detailed design plans for the open spaces around the houses are rare. Among other things, poplars and framed (reddish) artificial stone plinths were used in the front gardens, as well as small stairs on the courtyard side next to enclosed lawns and privet hedges, a fill of gravel for the drying area. The design plan of the open spaces stapled in the building files is of particular interest. Roof extensions were carried out as part of renovations after 1995. The group house as a testimony to the subsidized housing construction of the late 1930s, including the newly conceived building structure in contrast to the closed line on the opposite side of the street, has a building historical value. Apartment building in closed development Christian-Ferkel-Strasse 1

1905–1906 (tenement house) with doorway and probably formerly with a shop, clinker brick facade, historically significant, testimony to the development of the site, memorial text The Art Nouveau apartment building, built in 1905/1906 according to a design by architect Gustav Emil Reiche, has only four floors but ten window axes. The entrepreneurs were Julius Franz Jahre from Papitz and Friedrich Wilhelm Schröter from Reglitz. The residential building shows itself with a “shell facade, brick and wood cement roof”. Three apartments were planned on all floors, with an additional house passage on the ground floor. At the same time, a courtyard building with a laundry room and defeat, which no longer exists today, was built on the almost 490 square meter property. A good six weeks after completion, Friedrich Wilhelm Günther is named as the new owner. Felix Franke and the architect Fritz Riemann, who was authorized to submit a draft, organized the installation of an attic apartment in 1933/1934, and a second was installed in 1945. Conversion and expansion, renovation, elevator installation and a further loft extension are on record in the years 2005–2006. The red clinker brick facade with the offset structural elements made of artificial stone, the plastered ground floor and the Art Nouveau elements inserted for decoration are still appealing. The clumsy-looking roof house presents itself in contrast to the well-balanced historical appearance. Parts of the furnishings are well preserved, stencil painting in the passage. As a testimony to the expansion of the area during the Art Nouveau period, the house in the closed ensemble has a value in terms of both the history of the building and the history of the site. 1905–1906 (tenement house) with gate passage, formerly also a wash house and workshop building in the courtyard, clinker brick facade typical of the time, historicism building in the extension area, historically significant monument text master plumber Otto Richard Wohlfahrt had a residential house and a free-standing courtyard building built at the turn of the year 1905/1906, contracting the architect Gustav Emil Reiche for this. The ten-axis-wide facade of the apartment building suggests that there were three apartments on each floor. The rear entrance to the house could be reached via the passage. In 1928/1929, Oswald Schütze took over the installation of an attic apartment on behalf of Meta and Paul Zimmermann. Paul Zimmermann was the owner of the Möckernschen Holzpantoffel-Fabrik, between September 1931 and March 1932 a new, now two-storey courtyard building was built. The architect and builder Moritz Eulitz was responsible for this (the demolition took place between 2006 and 2009). The apartment building characterizes the street space with a clinker brick facade decorated with decorative relief panels. Red and yellow blenders change, the ground floor is plastered, the eaves smoothed. A slightly protruding central projection extends over four axes and cement stone moldings were used above the windows of the upper floors, parts of the furnishings are likely to have been preserved. Building and district historical value. LfD / 2016, 2017 09297524

1908–1916 (tenement house) Plastered facade, stencil painting in the entrance area and in the stairwell, historically significant monument text For a first apartment building to be built in the newly laid street, a building application was received at the end of May 1908, submitted by Messrs Karl Ludwig and Heinrich Blanke. The plans made by the building inspector Lubowski were initially not implemented, and it was not until 1915 that Bernhard Mätzschker, as the client, made a new attempt by submitting the plans that had already been approved in 1908. Tectures were only used as a template for some floor plan changes and a revised facade view during the construction process. The building manager Moritz H. Eulitz from Leipzig-Reudnitz stood for this and also applied for the final examination in February 1916. Exactly 100 years after completion of the building, renovation and reconstruction took place in 2015-2016, which included changes to the floor plan, installation of a lift, loft extensions and balcony extensions. Behind the plastered facade there were two rental units on the ground floor and three of them on the upper floors. The view of the house is structured by a four-axis central field, slightly shifted in front of the facade, with a dwarf house and triangular gable, fine plastering, a framing of the house entrance, which is shifted from the center, as well as a third floor, which is distinctly set off by a strong cornice with multiple profiles. A bay-like porch over three floors, a more extensive stucco decoration and the use of exposed clinker masonry from the first draft from 1908 were dispensed with. In addition, the stately building attracts attention through a front garden, the mosaic stone paving of the access path has been preserved, while the enclosure was removed after 1997. The building has a historical value. LfD / 2018, 2019 09297480

1896–1898 (tenement house) with gate passage, with shop, historicizing plastered facade, residential and commercial property with reference to the local history, part of a preserved tenement quarter, building historical value Monument text Initially, applications were made for residential buildings and side buildings in the courtyard, bakery with wash house, workshop and stable building based on designs by architect Albert Wolf for Mr. Otto (?) Theodor Reinhold Bernhardt. In the same year, 1896, changes were made to the courtyard buildings, and in January 1898 the final acceptance test for the three-in-hand apartment building, the bakery and horse stable building with fodder floor and a photographic studio took place. The business in the courtyard found its visible expression through a wide passage and a shop in the front building. Transfer of the property to Marie Natalie married Schiefler verw. w. Thomas born Schererr, 1909 to Medical Councilor Dr. Arno Ullrich Thümmler, in April 1919 to Roßschlächter Arno Friedrich Hädrich. In 1991 planning for the renovation, conversion and expansion of the top floor, which incidentally was not designed with particular sensitivity. Lying in a closed development, the plastered facade with its strict historical decor framing the windows blends in with the tenement district of the urban expansion area. 1897–1899 (tenement house) with a house passage and with a shop, plastered facade with sandstone integration, historicist residential construction in a closed street with architectural significance Monument text Initially, the nursery owner and community elder F. Wilhelm Wiske initiated the construction of a residential house (July 1897), later the building contractor Theodor Bernhardt took over the function of the client. At the end of 1897, he submitted plans for a two-storey rear building that the architect ME Reichardt had drawn. On March 17, 1899, the building authorities finally inspected the house and the (now) plumber's workshop, with the master plumber Karl Heinrich Kind to be addressed as the property owner. In the following years renovations on the upper floors (three instead of two apartments) as well as several times on the courtyard, 1953 construction of a new laundry room. All courtyard buildings were demolished in 2002 in connection with the simultaneous renovation of the front building by Uni Finanz GmbH from Bocholt. The windows are strictly lined up on five storeys on top of each other, control horizontal cornices and expansive roofs against the vertical tendency, the two outer axes hold the facade of the completely plastered house, the upper end of which in the eaves area consists of toothed cut tape and stucco consoles. On the ground floor, next to the passage and apartment, there is also a shop apartment with shop posts that are still original today. The furnishings in the house have been preserved in parts, while the plastic windows, which were probably bought very cheaply, themselves damage the appearance. The tenement house in a closed quarter and street with architectural value, testimony to the rapid development in Möckern towards the end of the 19th century. LfD / 2015 09294978

1896–1898 (tenement house) Formerly with a shop, plastered facade, as a testimony to the historic development of the district of architectural value Monument text In December 1896, master carpenter Emil Kothe from Leipzig-Gohlis submitted a building application for the construction of a residential building in what was then Carola-Straße. The architect Albin Neumann was responsible for the corresponding design. In March of the following year, the administration approved the project, but the property soon changed hands. The master mason August Kluge (Leipzig-Eutritzsch) carried out the building, which was completed in February 1898, while changing the facade design. In addition to apartments, a butcher's shop was set up in the house, for which ancillary rooms on the ground floor were converted in 1910. The street side of the five-story building is designed as a plastered facade above a clinker base. The flat side projections are less characteristic of the exterior than the profiled cornices over the ground floor and the third floor, as well as the differently designed window roofs. Inside the house, parts of the original furnishings have been preserved. The historical significance of the house results from the tradition of a tenement house typical of the expansion of Möckern from around 1900. LfD / 2011 09293993

1909–1910 (tenement) Four-storey building, with a restaurant, plastered facade typical of the time, corner building exposed in urban planning, significance for the history of the district's development, monument text On the approximately 350 square meter corner property on Schmuckplatz on today's Blücherstraße, master mason Friedrich Spahlholz and steam sawmill owner August Wehse submitted building applications in 1902, 1906 and 1909 Construction of a house designed by the architect Jänichen. However, the project was only implemented in 1910 under a new property owner, the innkeeper Eduard Müller. He had the plans revised by the Gohlis architect W. Becker, as the previous design 'did not correspond to his taste'. Karl Steglich from Möckern took over the execution and site management. “Müller's Restaurant Zur Börse” was set up on the ground floor. Brewery director Arthur Walter Rohland took over the property in December of the same year. The request for the establishment of a caretaker's apartment in the attic in 1911 was rejected by the building authorities. In particular, the broken corner with exits and roof house as well as the still original arched windows of the restaurant on the ground floor characterize the plastered building, which wants to strip away the fetters of the Wilhelminian era and Art Nouveau. For the emphasized corner solution, a (handwritten?) Proposal by Otto Wilhelm Scharenberg, who drew two towering pointed towers and massive half-timbered balconies, was not implemented. Simple but complete original equipment in the house, including stencil painting in the stairwell, stucco ceilings in the apartments, the house overhead light with colored lead glazing and a historic shop front. 1899–1900 (tenement) With a gate passage and plastered facade typical of the time, the preserved furnishings of the apartment building are of architectural historical value in addition to the urban structure of the house in the closed street between the residential development and the industrial site also took over execution and construction management. During the final inspection in February of the following year, it was found that instead of the approved two apartments, three had been installed on each of the upper floors. Artificial stone molded parts structure the largely smoothed plaster facade of the house (stucco parts only survived in the window overlays on the second floor), which directly adjoins the industrial complex of the later Leipzig dye works and dry cleaning. A shop was set up next to the passage. In 1902, master potter Karl Robert Klepel and master carpenter Friedrich August Christian Arend had a workshop building built in the courtyard. In addition to the urban layout of the house in the closed street between the residential development and the industrial site, the preserved furnishings of the apartment building are of value. However, these are only remnants, more precisely the two base floors of the former 50 m high water tower. After the expansion of the water supply in the north of Leipzig and the expansion of the so-called High Zone North in Möckern by two water towers only 600 m away on Olbrichtstrasse, the water tower on the barracks site was shut down. In the 1920s it was dismantled and given its current appearance. The originally boss-like differentiated plaster of the base storeys was removed and changed to a scratch plaster. During the last renovation in 2000, the colourfulness of the 1920s was taken up again. The tower is presented in brick red, the narrow arched windows, which illuminate the ground floor and upper storey all around, and also the hemispheres protruding from the semi-storey above are set off in off-white. The conical roof is covered with old German slate. Inside the tower, parts of the stairs, the banister and the handrails from the time it was built have been preserved. As a testimony to the beginnings of the controlled water supply via water towers in Leipzig and as part of the former König-Georg-Kaserne, the building is of both urban and military historical importance. 1900–1902 (tenement house) with shops, clinker brick facade, apartment building in an exposed corner location, historically important as a testimony to the historic development of the area Monument text On December 31, 1900, Eugen Binder submitted the building application for a front house and a back building, Binder owned the property from Messrs. Wehse and Spahlholz acquired. Below the drawings is the name of the Gohlis-based master builder W. Dathan. The first draft for the new apartment building on the property has three apartments on the upper floors, two of which have already been applied for in a very modern way with a toilet that is locked and only the middle apartment still has the toilet in the stairwell, which was common at the turn of the century. The ground floor should have only one apartment and a corner restaurant, the main entrance of which was in the doorway. In May 1901 (back) sale to the former co-owner Johann Friedrich Spahlholz, master bricklayer and builder of his trade, who now presented modified plans. Now the inn gave way to two retail apartments to be furnished. Out of three rental units, only one apartment with an indoor toilet was planned on the first floor, while Spahlholz designed four apartments with podium abortions each for the top two floors. An unusually long time passed between the building permit granted on May 17, 1901 and the application for the basic building test on August 9, the final test is dated March 13, 1902. In the years 1906, 1912 and 1930 small shop renovations were carried out and in 1918 a small apartment was furnished Approved in the attic to alleviate the housing shortage that also prevails in Leipzig. Noteworthy is the permit issued in July 1948 to prepare operating rooms for the Bernsteinwaren Karl Haupt company in the building. Building application for the renovation and expansion of the top floor with three apartments was made on August 4, 1993 by the building contractors Jens and Susanne Walter, who lived in the house. Designs by architect Regina Schöber for Hoffmann & Hofmann GmbH. Red clinker surfaces accentuate the facade clad with yellow clinker bricks - they are reserved for the three-axis risalit of the broken corner solution and the two-axis emphasis on the side of the facade in Faradaystrasse. The profiled frames of the windows with a few historical decorative elements are made of modern artificial stone. The interior fittings have largely been preserved, including the staircase, apartment entrance doors and Art Nouveau stucco in the entrance area. Effective corner building in the tenement ensemble, significant in terms of building history and local development, not least due to its location on one of Leipzig's most important local exit roads. 1905 (tenement) with gate passage, formerly with shop, clinker brick facade, leaded glass window in the stairwell, building historical value monument text The midwife Johanna Auguste Arnold first appeared as the builder in 1905, after granting the building permit, transferred the property and the existing plans to the room foreman Friedrich Karl Kupper, who did both a few days later passed on to Karl Nasarek from Connewitz. He had tectures made on the project, the most obvious change of which affected the number of axes on the front side of the apartment building: instead of seven windows in width, eight were now provided. It is possible that the former designer Jänichen was also entrusted with the execution of the company. Discussions particularly concerned the planned courtyard building, in which a defeat and later a bakery was to be set up. In the front building, only one apartment was planned for the ground floor, with or without a shop. The passage opened up the courtyard with the auxiliary building and the house entrance arranged at the rear. Two rooms, a chamber and a kitchen were provided for the apartments, two of which were installed on each upper floor. Under the roof there were floor spaces and a room for billeting. The construction of the footpath was also financed privately, here carried out by August Walde's paving and road construction business. The laundry room set up in the basement, which was to be moved first to an extension and later to the attic, proved to be unfavorable. In 1972 the shop was to be converted into living space, and in 1983 the bakery would be converted into a warehouse. Artificial stone molded parts were used for structuring, stucco parts as decorative decoration, red clinker bricks for the upper surfaces, plastering for the ground floor. The eaves were still in the original profile in August 2019. Some of the furnishings in the not yet completely renovated house are remarkable. For the building, which has been almost completely preserved in its original state, an architectural historical value must be recorded, as well as a special urban development location of the house in the axis of the Kernstrasse, which climbs slightly from Kirschbergstrasse to Georg-Schumann-Strasse. 1890 (tenement house) with gate passage, with shop, historicizing plastered facade, historically significant monument text The building application for a residential building in what was then Hallische Strasse 32 in Möckern was issued on January 7, 1890 by the bricklayer and building contractor Johann Friedrich Spahlholz, who also intended to take over the execution himself. The building permit was only issued in April. At the beginning of May, master blacksmith Gustav Götz was named as the property owner in connection with the application for a forge's workshop in the courtyard, and a coach house and a wash house extension are also being discussed. Execution here again by Friedrich Spahlholz. In 1926 a petrol pump was installed in front of the property and in 1929 the forge was converted into a car repair shop. The application to transform the first floor into a restaurant is dated 2004. Behind the historicist facade with stucco decoration in particular, above the windows on the first and second floors, and prefabricated artificial stone elements, two apartments were previously designed on the ground floor next to the passage and three apartments on each of the upper floors. The furnishings, including the staircase paintings, have been almost completely preserved. In the middle of 2013, minor renovation work on the ground floor. Historically valuable historic building on one of the most important local exit roads. LfD / 2013, 2014 09304680

1897–1898 (tenement house) Plastered clinker facade, stucco in the entrance area, vestibule door, historically significant monument text On the narrow plot of land, a single-span apartment building was built from 1897 to 1898 according to plans by architect ME Reichardt from neighboring Gohlis. Known as the builder is the master blacksmith Gustav Götz, who took over the property from Dr. Kern (since 1905 the name of a street in Möckern after Ferdinand Kern, who was born in Eisenach in 1814). After the building permit had been granted, applications were made for modified plans relating to the design of the roof as a mansard storey and the design of the front as a shell facade. A renovation, along with the expansion under the roof, took place in the period 1995/1996, a more recent courtyard-side balcony extension took place in 2014/2015. As mentioned, only one very spacious apartment was set up on each floor, and in 2015 there were also two apartments with a bedroom, bathroom and living room and kitchenette on the top floor. On the street side, the front elevation on the left side is noticeable, marking the entrance to the house and showing two coupled window axes on each of the three upper floors. Color accents in the light plastering of some surfaces and also lightly framed stucco decorations are set by two red clinker brick fields, the darkly painted high entrance door with a semicircular skylight. Above a dark clinker base and grooved ground floor, pilasters made of yellow clinker frame the other four window axes, the eaves zone is very pronounced. Most of the high-quality furnishings have been preserved, including a porch door and Art Nouveau wall tiles in the entrance area. The building has an architectural historical value and documents high quality construction in the rental housing sector in Möckern at the end of the 19th century. LfD / 2019 09297423

1897–1898 (tenement house) with gate passage and with shop, historicizing plastered facade, historically significant monument text Architect Albin Neumann acted on his own behalf and built a four-storey residential building and a workshop building in the courtyard on Square II of the Wehse & Spahlholz property. The execution period covered the period between July 1897 and March of the following year. Albert Pober had the two shops merged into one in 1899. In 1964 the shop space was converted for residential purposes and in 1995 it was again dismantled for business purposes. At the same time, the application for renovation and modernization as well as expansion of the attic was made by Robert-Bernd Piller with the assistance of architect Dipl.-Ing. Ralf K. Black. The simple work ran at the turn of the year 1996/1997. The strictly gridded plastered facade of the house is cautiously structured by sills, window canopies and stucco decoration around the windows on the first and second floors - cartouches are each framed by two putti. The large dormers in the roof area have a disturbing effect, parts of the furnishings have been preserved. The apartment building of architectural and development historical value, part of the closed street on one of the most important arterial roads in Leipzig. The courtyard building is not a monument. 1902–1903 (tenement house) with gate passage and shop, clinker brick facade typical of the time, historically significant monument text The building contractor Ernst August Hermann Bock's apartment building was also built on the site of the demolished Mäker brickworks, who submitted the building application in September 1902 and announced completion in mid-July of the following year. Architect E. August Stehmann made the drawings. A Niederlagsgebäude was built in the courtyard in 1903, in 1907 a cooperage workshop with storage room (1937 application for conversion to a motor vehicle shed), and in 1929 a new car garage. The front building was renovated in 1911 and renovated in 1995. The clinker brick façade with structural elements made of molded artificial stone above the plastered ground floor has been preserved. The two window axes of the upper floors on the left edge of the front, which protrude slightly and have roofing windows, are emphasized. The preservation of almost all apartment interior doors, some with the historic box locks, next to the wooden staircase and the apartment entrance doors, is of particular importance. The smoothed ground floor and the smooth plastered eaves affect the overall impression. Due to the expanded street space, it is an effective urban location in the closed street front, historically significant as a residential and commercial property. In front of the house is the Apelstein number 17 in memory of the position of the 2nd Division of the French Army under General Lagrange in the battles of the Battle of Nations near Leipzig in 1813. 1903–1904 (tenement house) with corner shutter, clinker facade, stucco wall structure in the entrance area, porch door, historically significant monument text The building application submitted in 1903 for a corner residential building on Christian-Ferkel-Straße was implemented the following year by the building contractor Louis Hippe for the building materials dealer Friedrich Otto Knaupe. Carl Schmidt is named in the archive materials as the site manager. In particular, the designed corner tower with its pointed hipped roof once set an urban accent. A clinker brick facade with artificial stone structure rises above the plastered ground floor, rich decor on the first floor and unusually protruding window roofs on the first two floors. Originally exits at the broken corner, the furnishings largely preserved. LfD / 2007 09297415

1904–1906 (tenement house) with gate passage, with shop, plastered facade, stencil painting, building historical value monument text The property formerly Hallesche Straße 78 was to be built on in 1904 with a house by Ernst Arthur Schultze on his own behalf. Architect Albert Wolf (actually Louis Albert Fritzsche called Wolf) contributed the necessary documents, which also included plans for an outbuilding in the courtyard with a bakery, laundry room and horse stable along with fodder floor. Because of the passage, only a smaller apartment and a shop apartment came to be furnished, while two tenants were accommodated on the upper floors. The builders, the executors and the site managers changed several times. The final examination was not carried out until October 1906 and in 1907 another shop was set up by the architect Otto Jänichen next to the passage. The plaster facade, formerly on a clinker base, experiences its effect through the row of windows and the decorative panels above the windows. In 1995 the application for redevelopment and an attic extension was submitted. The shop fronts and windows are made of plastic, a lattice gate was installed instead of the gate, the ground floor is plastered with "free hand notch", the plinth is disfigured, from the Art Nouveau design the facade only shows window frames with the stucco panel at the top. The newly embossed saddlecloths in front of the blinds have a forgiving effect. Architecturally interesting residential and commercial property in a closed street front, with an urban development effect due to the wide traffic area near the intersection of Slevogtstrasse. 1902–1903, marked 1902 (tenement house) with shops, clinker brick facade, porch door, etched staircase windows, corner building that is indispensable for urban planning, historically significant monument text The building contractor's wife Emma Berta Bernhardt, née. Zimmermann acted as an investor for the residential building to be built in the corner (formerly Straße B, then Wiederitzscher Weg, Völkerschlachtstraße, Drachenbergstraße), for which she was able to win architect Franz Witzel with regard to the design and construction management. Theodor Reinhold Bernhardt took over the execution. On the ground floor of the house, which was built between 1902 and 1903 and effectively in a corner, there was an inn and a bakery with a shop and bakery, and three apartments on each of the upper floors. A courtyard building for “stables and washing purposes” was built in 1903. Installation of an attic apartment in 1922 and a second one in 1925; the plan for 1926 is documented to “have electrical light cables introduced into the property”. At this point in time, the hairdresser Schwarzer and the master baker Hachmeister are tenants on the ground floor. Master baker Erich Große, then master baker Willy Stöckel, are active in the property with their craft. For 1958, the building application for the "new construction of a two-cooker steam oven" was submitted by the oven construction company Felix Fiedler from Leipzig-Connewitz. In front of both sides of the facade are two-axis, slightly protruding risalits, the clinker brick facade rises above a grooved ground floor, the corner is broken. The generous intersection area creates an additional effect for the building, which is decorated with subtle Art Nouveau stucco, different-colored glazed bricks and molded artificial stone parts. The gable top above the corner axis, with coupled arched windows and lateral volutes, is particularly attractive. The furnishings are largely original. The building, located in an exposed corner situation, has a character that shapes the cityscape and is significant in terms of building history and the history of local development.
