This list contains all number one hits in Germany in 1993. There were nine number one singles and eleven number one albums that year. The biggest hit was Haddaway's “What Is Love ??”, although the title never reached number one in the charts, but took second place ten times.
The single and album charts were compiled weekly by Media Control and each comprised 100 items. They reflect the sale of physical sound carriers (vinyl and CD). The radio use of the title was also used to determine the positions 51 to 100. The sales within a week (Monday to Saturday) were evaluated. The official publication and dating of the charts took place on Monday three weeks after the end of the survey period.
