The M602 motorway ( English for M602 ) is a 6.4 km long motorway in England , which continues the M62 motorway in an easterly direction through the suburbs of Manchester , Eccles and Salford and joins the A57 road at Salford . The M62 motorway runs between junctions Junction 12 to Junction 18, right next to the M60 motorway ring road from Manchester and then separates from it again. The M602 motorway was originally planned in a wider context than the South Lancashire Motorway , which was to form part of the unrealized M52 motorway and when the planning was changed it was initially called the M64 motorway (both numbers are currently not assigned), but later received its current name.
