The M67 motorway ( English for motorway M67 ) is an 8 km long motorway in England , which leads east of Manchester into the Longdendale and thus to the Peak District . Its continuation is the A57 road over the Snake Pass to Sheffield . The highway opened in 1981. The initially planned extension towards Sheffield has not yet been built.
