The squad strength was not limited, so that only a part of the registered players were used. U-Boat Worx Breda used the most players, namely 22, while Leidsch SG managed with 12 players. A total of 160 players were used, 37 of whom did not miss a competition.
The best player of the season with 8.5 points from 9 games was Jan Smeets (Hilversums SG), his teammates Jop Delemarre and Daniël Stellwagen scored 7 points each . The rating of Wouter Spoelman was not enough for an IM norm because he won a game without a fight. A possible IM standard would have been meaningless anyway, since the title was awarded to him in October 2005 subject to Elo; the final award took place after Spoelman first achieved the required Elo of 2400 in April 2006.
