Milis is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1517 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Oristano in Sardinia . The municipality is located about 16 kilometers north-northeast of Oristano .

The Bauladu-Milis station is on the Cagliari – Golfo Aranci Marittima railway line , but on the territory of the neighboring municipality of Bauladu . It is only used by passenger traffic on an unscheduled basis.

During the Second World War, there was a military airfield near Milis ( ), which was largely destroyed by Allied bombers in 1943. The Italian and German soldiers who fell in the process rest in a small place of honor in the community cemetery.
