Mine [ ˈmiːnə ], bourgeois Jasmin Stocker (born January 19, 1986 ) is a German singer , songwriter and producer .

Life and professional history

Mine grew up in Remshalden , a community near Stuttgart . As a child she took part in singing competitions and received instrumental and singing lessons. In her early 20s she began studying jazz singing at the Mainz University of Music . After completing her bachelor's degree, she worked as a lecturer for the Mainz University of Music, while in 2011 she began a master's degree at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in the field of producing and composing .

During her studies she made her first appearances with her own repertoire under the stage name Mine , a nickname from her childhood. She describes her music as German pop with influences from hip-hop , jazz , folk and also electronic music . Mine's lyrics are central to her songwriting .

A first own tour took place in 2013. Many different instruments are used in Mine's live performances, including bass, guitar , drums , electronic piano , organ , children's piano , autoharp , omnichord , metallophone , vibraphone , viola , violin .

Also in 2013 she released her first EP Herzverleih , consisting of ten titles that were produced by Florian Sitzmann in collaboration with Mine. To the song you seem , the first time at Heart hire appeared, produced mine their first official music video.

In March 2013, Mine started a crowdfunding campaign on the Startnext platform , in which it was able to raise over 10,000 euros within 80 days. With this money she financed a concert in the sold out Mannheim Capitol , which took place on June 15, 2013. For this concert, Mine independently arranged her songs for a chamber orchestra that she herself had put together for the evening. A live DVD was produced from that evening.

In the same month, Mine was among other things a guest in the ZDFkultur programs TV Noir and Nate Light and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the first VIA VUT Indie Awards. In September 2013 Mine released their second single, Hinterher .

In 2013 Mine also appeared in the opening act for Lukas Graham , Samy Deluxe , Megaloh , Dear Reader and Enno Bunger . In March 2014 Mine recorded the song Open Heart with the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe , which appeared on his new album Male .

In October 2014 Mine's debut album Mine was released on the Berlin label Styleheads Music. Two singles were released in advance: The moon laughs (May 2014), and Are you pulling with me (September 2014). The song Do you pull with appeared in four different versions, each with its own music video. In each version, a different rapper took over the first verse. The rappers Fatoni , FlowinImmO , Textor ( Kinderzimmer Productions ) and curlyman were involved. The release of the album was followed by a major tour in October / November 2014 and January / February 2015.

As of October 2014, Mine was also one of three artists on the 17th season of the program Startrampe . The show was broadcast on BR , ARD-alpha and Einsfestival , among others .

In 2015 Mine accompanied Die Orsons in the song Wasserburgen on the album What's Goes? and Edgar Wasser in the song Aliens . In April 2016, Mine's second album Das Ziel ist im Weg was released. It contains, among other things, a feature with the rapper Fatoni and the singer Dagobert . The first single Katzen was released on March 11, 2016. In terms of content, the singer makes a statement for individuality.

In September 2016, Mine received the award for pop culture in the “Favorite Solo Artist” category.

In October 2016, Mine again started a crowdfunding campaign on Startnext to finance a new edition of their orchestral concert in the Berlin club Huxley's Neue Welt . The funding target was achieved halfway through the time. A total of almost 32,000 euros was collected so that the concert could take place as planned on April 22, 2017, again with orchestral arrangements from Mine. The guests Fatoni , Edgar Wasser , Bartek Nikodemski , Grossstadtgeflüster , Textor, Tristan Brusch , Ecke Prenz, Haller and the Berlin pub choir were there. The concert was recorded and published on February 2, 2018.

In June 2017 Mine starred in the music video for no day exchange of Dexter .

On October 13th, 2017, Mine and Fatoni released their joint album Alle Liebe Later on via the Caroline International Records label. This was followed by a joint tour by Fatoni and Mine in December 2017.

The single Spiegelbild , which was created together with the artist duo AB Syndrom, was released on October 19, 2018. This was followed by a joint appearance at Neo Magazin Royale . In autumn 2018 she also went on a trio tour through Germany and played three new songs for the first time. In April 2019, Mine released her new album Glue on Caroline Records . She was awarded the “Listen To Berlin” award for her video on “90 Degrees”.
