Molly's Game is a US biopic by Aaron Sorkin , which premiered in September 2017 at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released in US cinemas on December 25, 2017. The film is based on the memoirs of Molly Bloom .

Molly Bloom has gained a lot in her life, but has also lost quite a lot. Her skiing career ended prematurely because of a serious back injury in a qualifying run for the Olympic Games. This seems to have driven a wedge into the already strained relationship with her father.
Molly considers other ways to make money and moves from Colorado to California, where she works as the personal assistant to a man who plays poker .
