NGC 1333 refers to a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus in the New General Catalog . It has an apparent magnitude of 5.60 mag, an angular extent of about 6 '× 3' and is about 1000 light years away from us.

It is a giant star-forming region stars with young and old less than a million years, the development recently, with the Spitzer Space Telescope, the NASA is investigated. Among other things, the IRAS-4 region with several protostars is located in this nebula.

Eduard Schönfeld discovered the fog on December 31, 1855.
