NGC 1329 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Eridanus at the southern sky . It is estimated to be 192 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 1345 .
The object was discovered on December 11, 1835 by the astronomer John Herschel .
