NGC 1328 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is around 272 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 light years . 
The galaxy NGC 1314 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by the astronomer Francis Leavenworth in 1886.
