NGC 1528 is an open star cluster in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . NGC 1528 has an angular diameter of 18 arc minutes and a magnitude of +6.40 mag. The cluster is about 2500 light years from the solar system and about 6 light years in diameter , its age is estimated at 370 million years.
The object was discovered on December 28, 1790 by the German-British astronomer Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel .
