NGC 1537 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type I / SB0 in the constellation Eridanus at the southern sky . It is estimated to be 58 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light-years across . The galaxy is a member of the 10 galaxies counting NGC 1532 group ( LGG 111 ).
The object was discovered by John Herschel on November 18, 1835 .
