NGC 2555 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 190 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 20, 1784 .
