NGC 2920 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 139 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2921 and NGC 2935 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 1, 1837 .
