NGC 2921 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa / P in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 123 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2920 and NGC 2935 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on December 24, 1786 .
