NGC 2931 is a galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type S? in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 332 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly. Together with NGC 2929 and NGC 2930 , it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy trio Holm 134 .
The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on February 21, 1863 .
