NGC 2928 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 368 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2923 , NGC 2933 , NGC 2934 , NGC 2941 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on April 1, 1864 .
