NGC 2918 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation Leo north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 304 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 125,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 13, 1785 .
