NGC 2929 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 332 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 120,000 ly. Together with NGC 2930 and NGC 2931 , it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy trio Holm 134 .
The type Ia supernova SN 2010jn was observed here.
The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on February 21, 1863 .
