NGC 5276 is a 13.9 mag bar -spiral shaped radio galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation of the Hounds and about 246 million light years from the Milky Way.
It was discovered on March 27, 1856 by RJ Mitchell , an assistant to William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse .
