NGC 608 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation triangle at the northern sky . It is an estimated 234 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years across .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 579 , NGC 582 , NGC 614 , IC 1718 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on November 22nd, 1827 .
