The name Nardò stands for red and rosé wines from the southern Italian municipality of Nardò in the province of Lecce in the Apulia region . The wines have had a protected designation of origin ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1987 , the last update of which was published on March 7, 2014.
