Nenince (until 1927 Slovak "Ňanince" or "Lúka Ňanince"; German Luka-Ninitz , Hungarian Lukanénye ) is a municipality in the south of Slovakia with 1,346 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It belongs to the Okres Veľký Krtíš , a district of the Banskobystrický kraj and belongs to the traditional Hont landscape .
geography
The community is located in the Ipeľská kotlina basin , a subunit of the Juhoslovenská kotlina on the Čebovský potok brook in the Ipeľ catchment area near the Hungarian border. The municipality is hilly with heights of 163 m nm to 300 m nm and covered by brown earth and auboils. The center of the village is at an altitude of 175 m nm and is 10 kilometers from Balassagyarmat (H) and 17 kilometers from Veľký Krtíš .
Neighboring municipalities are Príbelce in the north, Obeckov in the east, Bátorová in the south, Trebušovce in the south-west, Seľany in the west and Kosihovce and Čebovce in the north-west.
history
Nenince was first mentioned in writing in 1135 as Nena in the founding deed of the Bzovík Monastery . In 1243 King Béla IV gave the place Nenye to the Dobák family . The village was later dismembered, with most of it belonging to the Luka family , whose name appeared as a prefix in the community name. In 1828 there were 66 houses and 404 inhabitants who were employed in agriculture and viticulture. In 1907 the place Házasnénye (Slovak "Kostolné Nenince", German Hasasch-Ninitz ) was incorporated.
Until 1918 the place in Hont County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. In 1923, some Slovak settlers settled in the previously Magyar village. On the basis of the First Vienna Arbitration Award , he was again in Hungary from 1938 to 1944.

According to the 2011 census, there were 1,391 residents in Nenince, including 1,111 Magyars, 263 Slovaks and one Jew, one Czech and one Ukrainian. 14 residents gave no answer. 1339 inhabitants supported the Roman Catholic Church, 19 inhabitants joined the Evangelical Church A. B, three inhabitants joined the Reformed Church and one inhabitant joined the Orthodox Church. Six residents had no denomination and the denomination of 23 residents was not determined.
