Nordic World Ski Championships 1929 / participant (Poland)

The host country, Poland , took part in the 6th Nordic World Ski Championships , which took place in Zakopane from February 5 to 10, 1929 , with at least 60 skiers, 45 of whom were men and 15 women. The actual number of active Polish participants is likely to have been a little higher.

The athletes of the host association were unable to achieve podium places in the official competitions. Bronisław Czech achieved the best results with 4th place in Nordic combined and 10th place in jumping .

The hosts held themselves harmless in the competitions in the downhill runs and the military patrol that were not officially counted as part of the world championships. Here Bronisław Czech and Bronisława Staszel-Polankówa each conquered the first places, while the military team came in second behind Finland in the military patrol run .
